My Christmas Dinner - in pictures!
Its not finished yet, but here is the story thus far!
One turkey plucked and ready (Organic, free range, small farm etc) Stuffed with Sage and Onion stuffing, Sausages and with half an onion and some parsley in the cavity: (also www.statichiss.co.uk/xmasdinner/xmasdinner20.jpg and www.statichiss.co.uk/xmasdinner/xmasdinner16.jpg) Potatos peeled, cut and ready to be boiled: Parsnips cut and ready - the trick here is to remove the centre of the parsnip to stop them going hard when roasted: Carrot and swede peeled and diced: Pigs in blankets and quenelles of stuffing ready to be roasted: Cranberry sauce: 1 packet (12oz) of fresh organic cranberries 250ml of water 200g of sugar (adjust to taste) Bring to the boil and simmer until perfect: Yummy cranberry sauce! Turkey is halfway there, just needs some juices over it: Potatos ready to be roasted having been parboiled and fluffed. (Parsnips also went in at the same time) Last edited by Dr. Z; 25-12-2007 at 17:38. |

Table set!
Pigs in blankets and quenelles of stuffing are done nicely! Potatos out and gravy being prepped: Turkey on the table finished, garnished and ready to be carved! Perfecto! Dinner is served! Incidentally, the wine was M&S Burgundy Chardonnay, was about £8 for the bottle and as far as Chardonnay goes, it was exceedingly nice! |

I really ought to cook more, or at least post about it here. Maybe this thread will be the start, I dunno!

Why not? You obviously love it - share it! I don't really have much to share as I just make things up and am no masterchef, but you have decent experience about it
