I'm still waiting to see which way this will go but I can't help feel very uncomfortable that the Blu-Ray spec has already been changed making players bought by early adopters obsolete.

360, so a) thankfully it's external and b) it came with 5 free HD-DVDs, so it only cost a few squid.

The Blu Ray spec is about to change again - making an ethernet connection required.... guess what? Early adopters screwed again.

YAY!... they will soon have the ability to lock films down to a single player so you can't re-sell them... they'll love that.
