Default Tiger Woods 08 on 360

Think I've found the game that will draw me into my 360
I downloaded the demo last night & loved it enough to trade games for a 2nd hand copy today. I've spent a good few hours on it & am well happy with it.
I just read Desmos' Wii thread & I'm the same, I'm not into watching golf or playing it but used to play PGA back in the day.
On the 360 you have two striking methods & i prefer to use the left joystick, It's just a matter of drawing it back & swinging through the ball, It's very instinctive & you can apply draw & fade easy enough.
Playing my 1st round i murdered the outward 9 double bogeys all over the place, On the back 9 though i managed 2 birdies so was well chuffed. It'll take ages to get consistent but the whole game is an enjoyable experience. Loads of challenges, gametypes, courses etc. There is also the obvious online benefits as well.
I used to play PGA for hours & hours & it was always a game i went back to, Having a decent natural feeling golf game on the 360 using the wireless controller is Great

I enjoyed 07 on the pc. Using the mouse for the swing is very good. Much easier with a trackball too.

I dislike golf as well.

I've got Tiger '07 here, haven't played it for a while, do you want to borrow it?

I'm sound with 08 & did read up on the Tiger woods series to see whether i could get away with 06 or 07 for cheaper, Apparently 08 has come on a bit as far as controls go & has extra features.
Downloadable on xbox live anyway if anybody fancys a try, You get 3 holes to play & using the left thumb to draw back the club & then flick/pushing it forward for your shot just feels perfect. I played 9 holes of the demo which was enough to know that i was very happy with the control method.
I did try the alternative 3 click method earlier for hitting the ball but that is just 3 presses of the A button at the right time, This method doesn't feel half as natural or skillfull though, I'm loving the thumb business
At last i think I've found the perfect use for my controller
