My dinner tonight...
It's funny I take pictures of nearly every meal I make - but I decided to post it tonight because... well because it was delicious!
Fillets of haddock, lightly pan fried in olive oil, then moistened with a knob of butter. A bit of sea salt and pepper and light smattering of paprika. Steamed broccoli and some charlottes with a touch of butter and a sprinkling of chives. Pan fry the fillets skin side down for about 2 minutes on a relatively hot pan, season, flip for about 20-30secs. Done! Steaming veggies is easy... I like my broccoli slightly al dente. anyway here's what you end up with: I heart fish muchly, I don't bake it foil often, but next time I'm going to get some skate or monkfish and give baking a go.

That looks lovely Will and very healthy too!
I don't have a hob at the moment so I'm craving anything made using frying pan, saucepan or wok I also love fish muchly. We had salmon stuffed with garlic, basil and anchovies wrapped in sun-dried tomatoes tonight along with a salad. Back to real food at last!! Nomski

Oh, I meant to say that I've bought some aubergine pesto to put on either fish or chicken at some point. It just seemed like it would be a nice sort of thing to rub into the skin and then oven roast together with some tomatoes, olives and red onions.

And yes it is an absolute agony not to be able to use it properly. My dining table has a chopping board, cutlery and a few other bits on, but all my ingredients and herbs/spices are all packed away in boxes. Worktops arrive on 30th July so I should have a hob the following week. I'm also in China for a week between now and then so I've only really got about 10 days left. Cannot WAIT I'm very thankful for the new oven though so we can go back to real food again. Just cooking oven only stuff at the moment.
