Dublin
Im off to Dublin tomorrow with my wife and some friends.
Can anyone recommend some nice restaurants? Nothing too flashing, £25-30 a head would do grand. Is there any must see things in Dublin? Ive heard theres a pub crawl tour where actors act out stuff that happened in the pubs, which im going to try and track down, but other than that, im at a loss on what to do. (apart from the obvious :P) |

I went to a great tiny little pub somewhere where they had a vat of stew at the bar. Maybe I should have found the name before posting......

I loved it, went for my dads birthday not long ago. Took us a good couple of hours to wander round, and you get a free pint in the Gravity Bar with 360 degree views of Dublin at the end, that was just superb, well worth the trip

Went to Dublin a couple of years ago, and I'll be honest, I thought it was a run down, dirty smelly, ****-hole of a city.
The Guiness Factory is worth a look around, and having a pint at the top is nice, if a little pricey. Stay away from Temple Bar area as you will get ripped off for drinks. Try and find a traditional out of the way pub and sink a few pints of Beamish (which IMO is much nicer than Guiness) The art museum is pretty ****e, but the Animal Museum isn't too shabby for a quick glance around.

Guiness tour is OK. Jameson one is better though.
