Unhappy Bad News for Virgin Media Cable users

Got a letter today saying that the 10Mb XL package will be going up £2

However there is some good news.

That £2 gets you an extra 10Mb of bandwidth!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently as of May they are upgrading all XL customers to 20Mb!

Apparently some people will need new modems, my SB4100 is rated up to 36Mb Down and 10Mb Up (Upload is going up to 768Kbps)

Bloody hell. They really want me to sign up, don't then.

Sounds cool to me.

Thats just awesome. This is clearly to counter sky's 16mb bb claim that they have been ramming home. Really tempting to jump to the 20mb, but I download enough stuff with 4mb

I got a letter saying XL phone package is dropping a couple of quid...
Interesting.
At the moment our 2Mb cable seems to do the job..

Nice
On 4mb at home atm but might see about going up to 10mb when I'm back here permanently. I certainly download enough.

Considering how dire the interweb can be here... Wonder how they're gonna manage it...

Hopefully I'll get a letter so a week after they implement it I can ring up and say "so this double speed stuff...? Not working, give me a better deal on my phone..."
