GPS software needed
If I need to be specific (it usually helps) - Garmin City Navigator North America v7 or higher
Note - not City Navigator NT. I checked garmin.com, and they list it at $140. I have no objections whatsoever to paying that, but there's a disclaimer - for domestic US market only. Now, I'm not sure if that means it won't work with non-US devices, or just that they won't ship outside the US. So, I check the UK, using my favourite source - gpsw.co.uk... ... £282 **** me. No. Never. No ****ing way, jose. I'm not paing that. That's complete crap. So, I need to either (a) figure out how to convince them I'm American (sending goods to the hotel might work - done that before), (b) find someone who *is* American, or (c) *cough* (you know the rest ) |

Have at it. They're protected so might need a keygen as well though.

Little blip in the download overnight but it's almost finished now. Looks like version 8 if that's any good to you?
At ~1.6GB the problem is going to be getting it to you. Would a CD in the post be quick enough?

I've got disk space elsewhere if it'll help, but CD is good. Plenty of time - don't need it for three weeks. For once I've planned ahead.
Leo, I'll bear those in mind if needed later. Thanks. |
