Quick google says : Season 4 of Dexter premieres on FX Friday, August 27th at 10pm.

I can't wait for s5. I've been humming the theme tune all day after getting it mixed up with Sherlock Holmes!

Reading the same thread I think you've found and a later/almost last post dated 20/7/10 mentions that Season 4 is set to air a week earlier on Friday 20th August on FX UK @ 10pm.

They've only just started to film season 5, so that'll be a long wait.

The lead actor... i forget his name... got cancer a few years back so it delayed things a while!

Not really. It starts on September 26th, which is about 2 months away?

He carried on filming through series 4, no-one knew he had lymphoma until he was in remission - so I don't think it delayed it at all?
