Default BMW Fanboyism strikes again?

I went down to the auctions tonight to cheer myself up and instead of bidding on a cheap diesel, I stuck my hand up on a E39 535 Bit of an impulse buy, but it was gorgeous and had service history, full leather, air con, cruise control and looked lovely. Now Im waiting to hear if my provisional bid is accepted. If it is, I will have a bargain V8.

Then I have to sell Sarah

Go on, tell me what a bad driver I am and all the other BMW stereotypes

Oh and I checked, it does have fully functional indicators and goes something rapid.

It's because they've never been used

Actually, I like the 5 series, don't understand what the E39 bit means though.

I believe it is a sport too. Which is a bit rare. The price I have put down on it is almost beer money (over a few months) We will have to see what tomorrow brings.

Yes the E39 is the last of the well designed BMW before they got Bangalised.

I also forgot about the auction for a leather interior for my current car Sarah I won.

Will have to think of a new name for this one if I get it. She can play with Barney at meets....

(BTW all my cars are called after women. Nothing at all to do with them being expensive and moody..... er honest )

BMW use E numbers to denote a specific model of car for the years it was made. So a 5 series could be brand new or 10 years old. But if you say E39 you know the model it is. Ours is an E39 too.

Saw a 2002 on the road yesterday first time in a very long time! Not a Tii though Still fantastic

E39's are ok, but I personally prefer the previous shape
