The Death of a Great!
Just seen that the great Pavarotti has sadly died at the age of 71. He shall be sorely missed and if you have any of his performances you should play them today. Nessun Dorma will be blasting out later on today.

I heard it on the news this morning driving into work. I was shell shocked. The frightening thing is I was listening to one of his CDs last night! I love opera (there's an admission that doesn't often reveal itself!) and this is the passing of a very very important figurehead of opera. What a loss.

Oh no, how sad
I was listening to Radio 1 this morning, no chance of them mentioning any half decent news on there |

Heard that he'd taken a turn for the worse yesterday, but didn't know he'd died.

RIP Big singing fella. I knew he was very ill and the last I heard he was weighing less than 10 stone. The man had an amazing voice, I remember a few years ago he did some song or other with U2, Bono did his bit first and when Pavarotti started singing, the between the Irish one and the Italian maestro was *amazing*. Pavarotti almost blew Bonio off stage. *hums Nesun Dorma*
