Default Brands hatch novice day

Just looking at this and i'm tempted. It will be comedy in the Focus, but dammit I think it'll be money well spent

Not cheap but anyone interested?

Snetterton is a fair bit cheaper

Snetterton is also an easier track to learn. It's pretty much a rectangle with a couple of switchbacks in the long ends. It's also one fo the fastest tracks in the UK.

However, Brands is a damn sight more fun.

Snet is a very underated track IMO. On paper, it looks pretty boring but it's actually a nice track. But like you say, Brands is a damn sight more fun...and special.

If you do Snetterton we might well join you. It's only 10 minutes down the road and we need to fit in a trackday or 2 somewhere to get Vix a bit more experience.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love Snetters, it's my home track. I've done many thousands of laps around there in many different vehicles. It's just that Brands is much more fun.

If you do Snetterton, I may be able to pop along with something for a bit of fun. As long as the volume restrictions are sensible.

There aren't any at Snet as far as I know (volume restrictions)

I hope not anyway, Humphrey's got the stainless Janspeed exhaust. He aint quiet

I think I'm gonna do the Snet novice day anyway so if anyone else is interested, I'll be there! There's a bit of room at our house if it's a long way for anyone.

In some ways its tempting but the idea of a new set of rubber and pads on Minnie puts me off as it won't be cheap. I'll give it some consideration.

105 dB(A) static by the looks of things. Unfortunately you might struggle to blag this bit:

Quote:
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY FOR NOVICES ONLY. EXPERIENCED DRIVERS WHO BOOK INTO THIS EVENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE AND WILL NOT BE OFFERED A REFUND.

FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT – TYPICALLY WE CATEGORISE A NOVICE TRACKDAY DRIVER AS SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE LESS THAN 3 TRACKDAYS BEFORE BUT IF YOU ARE UNSURE AS TO WHETHER OR NOT YOU FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY THEN CALL US ON 0870 850 5014.
There's an open pit day the day after which might be a better option, little bit more expensive but it would give more flexibility.

I wonder how they'd class me. I've done countless trackdays on a bike, but none in a car. If my car was better, I'd like to give it a whirl on track.
