I'm really looking forward to this and I hope the BBC make a decent job of it, I'm quite sure they will

Just echoing the previous comments.
Hope Brundle stays with the coverage and reports for the BBC. Anyone else not want James Allen to stay on? |

Fantastic!
All we can ask for now is for them to stop the cock! But keep Martin though. Also - give Murray some regular work - he doesn't want to commentate anymore, but something liek the Murry meets segments would be cool. Simon/~Flibster

As I said somewhere else (don't know where, 3 forums I've been on about this now! getting Murray back to do some kind of interviews in the pitlane to be shown before the race. Perhaps getting him to interview the press officers or mechanics etc, the unsung heroes behind F1. I'm sure someone could interview them but only Murray would make it fun to be interviewed. |

Just as long as they do it properly.
I can't help but worry seeing as ITV ditched it rather than got outbid on it (why would they ditch it? piss poor ratings?) that the BBC have snapped it up for the sake of having it, rather than really wanting it and will sideline it compared to football and rugby, give it some piss poor excuse for coverage and ruin it.

I've heard that ITV's contract was 5 years long but had an option to end the deal after 3 years. Can't see the ratings having been a problem, the Lewis effect should be helping them. It seems ITV just don't have the time to look after F1.
And it seems Bernie went to the BBC and offered it to them, wonder if that means they will be paying less for F1 than Bernie would normally want? |
