On a side note are people using the standard 3 year warranty or did you take out the extra protection 360 service contract?

Anyone know how long they're taking at the moment? Need to send mine back for the 4th time

10 days for mine (including the weekend!)
but I was told by MS it would be about 2 weeks. |

Spoke to a very camp man at Microsoft on Sunday and UPS have already been today to collect the unit! He obviously liked the cut of my jib.
Condemned 2 arrives at the end of the week, but I sense at least one weekend of just sitting and reading the manual. Gives me a chance to get some emergency pants on standby though I guess.

Status has changed to 'device received at service centre' (even though I know it arrived two days ago...), so seems very likely I'll have it back one day next week. All in all it's a pretty slick service, but I guess they've had the practice!

Unf unf unf! Got the console back today - mobo and DVD drive were both defective apparantly. It doesn't sound like 'my' Xbox any more because of the new drive, if you know what I mean!
