Default I have been given the coolest present EVER!

My mate has just got back from a holiday from France.

He knows of my strange passions and brought me back the coolest present I've ever been given.

A human skull and spine.

The spine is nearly complete - missing a couple of bits of the coccyx but it's very cool. The skull however is totally complete - even has all the teeth. Apparently from the same person as well.

It's already been placed with care into the cabinet along with my other props and replicas.

I can't believe that he actually spent time finding one of these.

I'd be more concerned as to the origins, unless it has been a body donated to medical research then i would be very dubious about it.

I want a skull (apart from the one I already have attached to my shoulders)

I borrowed a pelvis an ex procured from a doctor friend of his for an art project, that was pretty cool. Human skulls are annoying, they break super easy although saying that during the dig i went on last year we found a human skull accidentally, we knew there were cemeteries on site but didn't know where they were one guy accidentally knocked down part of one of the pit walls and there was this skull peering out at us. I play with skeletons a fair bit (as part of my uni course) and i'd say the coolest bones are probably vertebra and animal skulls. I also like teeth but that is an entirely different kettle of fish.
My problem with owning human remains is the fact that they belong to someone, they are someones family, if they have offered their remains to research then fine but taking remains is a very grey area. It effects archaeology a fair bit, there are many debates on the morality of the subject.

I can imagine you dancing round with it listening to 'Goodbye Horses'.

O_o
I think I would be concerned as to where the bones were from, as already mentioned. I don't think I would want some random person (no insult intended, just meaning someone I don't know) keeping my bones in a closet after I died just as a cool collectible.
I mean, I won't need my bones once I die, but I'd still prefer for them to be treated respectfully rather than sold.

That is quite cool. The coolest I've got is a cast plaque with a picture of two shagging elephants on it. Tackiest piece of decor in the flat and it's mine.
