Default Broken

I seem to have broken myself

During the course of this afternoon my elbow has gone from normal to having a lump the size of a golf ball and is extremely painful to move. Went to the docs on the way home and he's stuck me on 500mg of antibios, I'm sat her in agony waiting for them kick in . I'm amazed something that came on so quick can hurt so much, if it doesn't sort itself I may have to go to casualty later and see if they can do something about draining it

Not a particularly useful post but hey ho

Absolutely nothing, thats the odd thing, it just started after lunch feeling a bit sore and just got worse from there, I noticed it was a bit swollen and by the end of the day I HAD to go to the doctors, it hurt that much

Ah, the ol' thwacking injury

500mg is a fair whack. I had a chest infection & random bug at uni and they had me on 1400mg of the stuff a day I was on another planet.

Aitch has been great getting me everything I need but I'm horrible when I don't feel well and I suggest she watch some of the things shes recorded on V+.

The lump itself came up quite fast, there is a big void at the back of the elbow to allow it to move so theres a lot of space that can fill with fluid I can't really bend it and even a light touch is agony

Could it have been brought on by the archery? I know you've not done it loads but it must put a fair strain on the elbows.

Nah, its definitely an infected bursa which is caused by infection rather than damage, which is a good thing because its less likely to reoccur.
