Whats the oldest coin you have in your possession?

As in, on you right now. In your pocket, or in your wallet or purse.

Dont go hunting through your penny jars, I imagine coins on our person are still in circulation

I have a pound coin as old as Daz in my purse, 1983. I will shortly be trading it in for a tuna sandwich.

I don't have any on me right now. I've been living directly off my check card for so long I don't completely remember what real money looks like!!

That's rather impressive. That £1 coin you have might actually be a first issue. Not sure there's any value in that, but still.

I think I still have some slightly pre-decimalisation coins in my bedside table, but they don't count.

Right now I'm partying like I have a 1999 20p piece, which I do. I also have a shiny 2008 5p piece as well. That's it. 25p to my name.

I have a 20p from the year I was born (1982) and 2 £1 coins from 1987.

I also have one of the really funky 5p coins which are new this year - there are 2p and 1p coins similar style
