Default Good news, bad news

Goods news.

We are finally getting our boiler replaced at home, this thing is ancient and the pilot light constantly goes out meaning you fear turning it back on in case it blows up.

Bad news.

We are now without hot water and a shower till Tuesday night so cold washes in the sink tomorrow morning

Good news.

The fence between our house and the next door neighbours is getting replaced, starting today

Bad news.

We are paying money towards it as it's a shared boundary

How's your week going so far?

Good news: Leg is improving significantly, and I can stand unaided.
Bad news: This means I have to go back to work, after 11 weeks off :/
Good news: I will be getting paid again!

Good news: I may have a prospective new job doing exactly what I want to do.
Bad news: It may be part time which means I'd have to hunt for a second job.

Not bad for a Monday morning

Good
Found a nice flat on Friday so we have somewhere to live in 2 weeks time when building work starts on current house

Bad
I'm going to be paying for all rent/bills for the first and probably the 2nd month as Klara still needs to find a job.

Good
I'm working from home this week which is nice after an insane travel schedule last week saw me in 4 different cities in 3 different countries in 4 days.

Bad
I already have enough work lined up for this week to pretty much guarantee a 75-80 hour week.

Good news: Enrolment week is over, so no more IT calls from confused students.
Bad news: Those arriving late will be pestering us in person. Twunts.

Good news: All companies on the payroll have been updated with the new tax codes and legislation

Bad news: No one seems to be able to grab the concept of this £60 tax rebate :/

Last week we found we had an 18 month old Gas Leak, but didn't spot it because we always have the extractor fan on, though there have been mentions of gas smells when it isn't, the boiler we have does let of a miniscule level of gas anyway, however the gas bill shot up and the gas line dropped 24 millbar of gas in less than 90 seconds (for those who don't know, new builds aren't allowed to drop more then 0.5mb in 2 minutes).

No good news so far...

Bad news the cat was sick at some ungodly hour this morning. Never a pleasant sound to wake up too
