The Great Big Boat Drinks Sound Clash
Inspired by the Zane Lowe show this evening I thought we could give it a lash ont' forums.
Rules are simple: I'll post a theme/category/genre Next two posters link us to a piece of music that qualifies (Youtube, hosted mp3 etc) Third poster chooses their favourite and throws out the next challenge And so it continues.... So your first theme is..... Music that should only be played on amps that go all the way up to 11!

Black Shuck - The Darkness
Sure they're an annoying band but it's one of the best openers to any album, ever.

Not the first song you'd think of for this theme, but I'm going to go with Oasis - Morning Glory. Builds brilliantly and is just relentless. One of the most amazing songs I've heard live.

Robbie Williams is certainly not a bad choice, but Queen has to win that one. Especially at 1AM in the middle of a field.
Have something suitably open-ended, possibly for the slightly older generation: Memorable Top 40 classic from the 80s. |
