Default New Puppy

So we've had the fish and we've had the guinea pigs.......and now we haz dog
Well we nearly have dog

I introduce you all to erm.......well he's not got a name yet Oh and don't mind my Mum in the photos, she'll probably hate the fact she's in them

As a few of you know, me and my Mum have been looking out for a dog for the past 3-4 months. We haven't rushed into it because a) we weren't sure if we were up to it for some of that time due to dealing with my Dad dying and b) the dog never showed up when we were looking. We wanted to wait until the dog that we absolutely adored and fell in love with appeared, and he did by complete luck today!
We've volunteered at the local RSPCA for dog walking and went today before I had work, looked around the pens like you do. And up pops this little cutie along with his two sisters.

So erm yes We now have to do 3 socialisation trips where we play with the puppy and check everyone fine's with it (i.e. the puppy likes us and we still want him) then one home vetting and if that all goes well, we can have him

He's a complete mix of a dog, very small so they think he's got some Yorkshire terrier in him but his Mum was a crossbreed and they've no idea about his Dad. So be interesting to see what size he ends up! I'm guessing quite small.

Name suggestions are welcome but there's no guarantee I'll call him any of them

Lucky you. Looks great.

I still wish I could have a dog here but I think I'm too unpredictable.

Pixel's actually a really good name Half tempted now. Think I'll come up with a list for tomorrow when I see him next and see if he reacts to any of them.......probably confuse the poor sod
Silly thing doesn't realise he's tiny, he was trying to lift up tennis balls bigger than his head and chewbones

He is lovely Haly, from the size of his paws he doesn't look like he is going to grow very big. I hope he brings you and your mum lots of happiness.

I love it when dogs try and do that. No matter how old she got our dog could never quite get the concept of sizing objects first before trying to pick them up. We'd take her for walks in the woods and she would try and pick up 6' long+ 'sticks' to get us to throw them, and wonder why she struggled with them.
