Richard Madeley covering for Chris Evans/Steve Wright/Simon Mayo when they are off. Annoys me because I just don't get how he is even a radio presenter.... annoying, unfunny, tedious, self absorbed in the way that that annoying uncle who thinks he is still cool and hip now he is older (when he never was even when he was young) kind of way. Irrational because people must like him or else why would he be presenting on Radio 2?

I am now without radio on the way to work in the morning for the next two weeks....boo!

I agree with this. His last day today - thankfully. Got off the rig on Tuesday and was hugely disappointed to hear his voice on Wednesday morning I was also disappointed to hear Zoe Ball on for Ken Bruce to a lesser extent. I like Zoe Ball but Popmaster just isn't the same without Ken.

Booooo!

Mine is people that leave their rear wipers going even when it's not raining or it's finished washing it. I have this crazy moment where I feel sorry for the windscreen getting scratched.

So many things lately.

- People who answer their mobile and immediately start walking at 25% of regular walking speed. "Disengage power from legs! Divert to listening and thinking immediately!" "The system is now stable sir." "Good..... increase talking volume 100%." "But why? I don't think there's any reason to..." "I DON'T PAY YOU TO THINK."

- Girls with crimped hair. This only occurred to me today but I think it's something I've always found a little creepy. Ten year-old girls have crimped hair - it's weird on adults.

- Students who contact us because they've failed to reset their password, usually because they've attempted to change it too many times and locked the account due to being unable to follow the basic password stipulations... AND they've forgotten what they put for the answers to their security questions... oh, and what was my username again? Jesus.

- Quizzes where you get to play a joker to double your points on a particular round, but you have to pick the round you want to use it on at the start before you learn what the rounds are even called. At this year's staff quiz this recently made the difference between us coming fourth and winning. Nothing like a chunk of random chance to decide the final outcome of a skill and knowledge based game. I sound like a bad loser but last year we won, mainly because we played the joker on a round we happened to get full marks on. I'm not particularly happy about winning that way either.

- Posting pointless irrational things that annoy me when I'm absolutely shattered and should be in bed. Night!

That depends on the questions though. Our central system asks "what is your favourite colour?" and "What is your favourite animal?"

I don't know. I'm not 10 years old. I don't have a favourite colour, and no particular animal stands out right now as my preferred choice...

At least ask something less emotive, like "where were you born?" or "mothers maiden name"

One of the ones you can choose is 'What is your partner's name?'. Someone even forgot that.

I look forward to being creeped out by everyone's crimped hair in the future.

The lack of thought put into "Security question" systems in general annoys the hell out of me. For most people the most likely person to be trying to compomise their account is someone they know, whether it's a curious partner, a vengeful ex or just their mates having a laugh. So how is it in anyway secure to allow access to the account to anyone who can answer a trivial question that anyone who knows you well can answer?

Where possible I'll avoid putting any answers into such systems. If they insist I'll put gibberish. The best systems are ones where you can wrote your own question too, then I usually make the question itself cryptic to the point that no-one else will even be able to work out what it's actually asking.
