Lent DONE

A day short but I did it, 47 days with out alcohol, that sounds nothing but its nearly 7 weeks, that is 7 weekends off football gone, was epic to do, it was not easy but it was an easy option to do until it set in, alcohol has too much of a play in social life

I hate to be slave to something but you don't notice it till you have been under the influence, I have given alcohol some respect since I know how much fat it puts on the ****, lost well over a stone from cutting it out

Well done I know dropping things for lent can be hard

Dropping Alcohol would be easy for me as I don't drink much and was alcohol free for several years in my early 20s.

I dropped chocolate for lent and managed that .... just

Dropping alcohol is fairly easy at home but it gets really tricky when out with friends or at celebrations. I mean, there's only so much overpriced pop you can stomach in a night.

Just in case you didn't know, the 40 days of lent don't include Sundays.

I gave up after 4 weeks. A first year student not drinking alcohol for all that time was never gonna happen now was it?

In fairness, I've only drunk about 4 times since giving up. Meh.

What the hell. When was Lent?
Only thing I'd like to cut out is chocolate. I go through spells of not caring less then spells of eating enough to make me sick in a day (2 of the largest bags of Chocolate Buttons back to back for example).

Oh dear. Well, maybe next year. I can at least say I never smoked in those 40 days.. although the fact I've never even tried in my 25 years might have something to do with that
