Default Christmas Nosh

We are going to my friends in a couple of weekends for a mini Christmas.

We are going to have the usual

Turkey (may be chicken as only four of us!)
Pigs in Blankets
Parsnips in honey (do these need to be boiled first or just stick in oven?)
Roast pots - would like to do these in goose fat
Veggies of some description
Stuffing - Helen can do that, I am crap at it

Starters - couldn't think of what to have, does one have starters with Christmas dinner? :/ could have soup I guess, my carrot and corriander or leek or:

I could do these a day or two before and have then cold or warm with some caremalised red onion sauce...mmm..

Was thinking about doing some mince pies too... but I don't like orange peel...hmmm...

Also no one like Christmas pud rightly so to.. so I will be making a trifle - with Blancmange!

Will I have time to do all this?!

Post your Christmas feasts here!
