Easter shock horror: Optical Express.

Woah, close shave, I just spotted in the diary I have an eye test today! Today? Easter Monday? Surely some mistake?

Nope. Optical Express are open today and I definitely have an eye appointment. Poor staff!

I had my eyes tested on Saturday at Dolland and Aitchison and they commented then that they were open on Monday and booked pretty much solid.

I think it's great TBH, means I have more chance of getting my eyes tested without having to take time off work.

I needed a 5 pin DIN 180 degree, a length of single core screened and a 3.5mm jack plug. My box of bits doesn't have such stuff so I called the local electronics company to see if they were open. No reply.

I called a friend who works in the local radio shop to see if he know whether the electronics place was open or not and he said that he'd open his own shop for me to get the bits. I turned up, sorted the stuff, had a coffee, gave him two quid and came home. Now the soldering iron is warming up

Janet and I had our eyes tested on Friday, Josh had to have his done on Thursday after as they wouldn't give us an app't for him on the Friday. :/

This, we are now in a 24/7 society and it makes good business sense to open on a day people have off work.
A hell of a lot of people have to work bank holidays.

Anyway how much is an eye test and how do you go about getting contacts.
Also laser eye surgery do they like 12-24months of eye tests before they operate? or can you just have one test and get done, as I haven't had mine done for years and need to go get sorted.

I was at work at Blockbuster yesterday despite every other shop in the retail park being shut

Standard pay too as Blockbuster is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
