Never been to a wedding before and have no idea what to wear!

Obviously suit but what colours? Wedding is at 2.30pm here.

Educate a noob!

Yeah, I'd wear whatever made me look and feel good. So nice suit, shirt, tie. Simple.

I've got a good friend's wedding in October, I've been considering a new suit for that recently. Gotta look good. He's the first of 6 of us to get married and his proposal came the week after he'd finished at Oxford medical school!

Last 2 weddings I've been to don't really count as was usher for one so had to get the chosen suit and groom at the other so even less choice!

Generally though, I think smart trousers and shirt, maybe a tie is fine. Suits to me are for business use - unless you have an evening wear suit.

That's just me of course

You're Scottish aren't you? A kilt is the obvious suggestion although whether you'd have time to hire it before the wedding probably makes it a moot point.

Hope you have a nice day for it either way.

If it's going to be warm I can heartily recommend a linen suit, you'll be less hot.

Suit is the best thing to go for, regards to colour, I'd go for grey or dark blue if you haven't got one and are planning on buying one.

Will's suggestion of a linen suit is a good idea given the weather but not really something you can wear in the winter

No kilts for me

Thank

A couple of my mates who are English but living up in Scotland wear kilts for weddings and things like that. Kilts are great fun to wear and usually go down well in any company (fnar fnar) but no bother, it was just a suggestion.
