Bike crash but I'm alive
Went out on my bike this morning & was cruising along about 3 car lengths behind the car in front doing around 35mph when some blind **** in an old Golf pulled out then saw me & stopped right in the middle of the road. I did my best to stop but knew I was going to T bone the car, I stepped up on my footpegs & went over the handle bars onto the bonnet & then across the road, I ended up in on coming traffics way so I carried on rolling until I hit the kerb. When I went over the bars I didn't quite clear the tank & hit my groin real hard, It literally feels like I've been kicked in the sacks by an Elephant 3 times & to say it aches is a Massive understatement. My leathers armour & back protection saved me though.
Whilst laying on the floor waiting for the ambulance I asked the **** how the **** didn't he see a 6ft 5 inch guy wearing a Brand new hi vis vest, He just said Sorry & he didn't see me. He has put his hands up though & told the Cops I wasn't speeding or owt & he just didn't see me & pulled out, Gutted about my bike though. The witnesses & locals that helped me were unbelievably lovely, One sat with me & another came down & took my bike round his back garden for safety, The Ambulance crew were superb & Leicester Royal A&E were not only quick they were lovely to me as well. So Big Thanks to all the helpers & healers. I've been x rayed for a suspected broken/fractured pelvis but all is well down there just some heavy bruising/tissue damage. The weird thing about all this is just how damn good I feel I think I have Survivor Joy. + And Yes it is a cool story Bro considering I'm alive/still in one piece |

Very glad to hear you're ok, it's a pity about the bike but definitely look on the bright side that there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage to you at least. It's also good that the other driver has admitted fault straight away.

Shame about the bike though, all because someone didn't look properly

Very glad you are ok. Having just got back from attending a speeding course, we had a section about being aware of bikes, and how road users need to be more aware of them.
Hope you don't need too much time off work to recover, and that you are mended soon. |

I can see your sick note already...
Dear Malc's boss, Malc cannot work for the next week as he has bruised balls, not due to a Doris. Love and hugs Malc's doctor On a serious note, glad to hear that you're otherwise ok and it wasn't more serious

Wow, that could have been so much worse. So many bikers wear the wrong clothing when out on bikes, glad you were properly equipped!
