Default Happy Feet

Just back from this with the kids.

Its a really odd one. There are so many places this film can go, and it just doesnt seem to be able to decide which path to take, so it kind of fannys about with them all and makes a bad job of the lot.

Cracking soundtrack, and if you can understand very fast talking south american/spanish chatter then you'll be doing better than me. The kids enjoyed it but didnt love it.

Def one to wait for on DVD.

From my Flushed Away post...

I went to see that last week and although it was still good, it wasn't as good as I expected.

A few "aawww"s and giggles admittedly and I tapped my little feet all the way out of the cinema (much to my sisters horror! ). However, I knew it had music but not that much music - don't think it stopped! Was a bit OTT but if you're prepared you should enjoy it

Had I seen a film by this name advertised in the back pages of FHM, I would have been straight on the phone with Maestro card in hand - how disappointed would I have been?

Pretty much what I thought, about two thirds of the way through it starts mixing the lovely funny cartoon world of tapdancing penguins with the real world and that's where it screwed up for me. There are many reasons that nature should be preserved and species protected but I don't think that 'because they can tapdance' is a good one really.

I'm not keen on seeing this. They seem to be jumping on the bandwagon of Animated films with big "voice over" names and they never live up to expectation. Maybe they should concentrate harder on the contant rather than who voices who.

Just my opinion though.
