Sounds like a good way of doing it Feek.

Question - is it a Zagg Invisible Shield that you've got on the front of your 3G?

3.0 software on the "old" iPhone takes up a hell of a lot of battery power!

Those contemplating buying an "old" model for the cheapness rather than a new one, I'd suggest paying the extra for a new one.

I tend to turn 3g off anyway and just flick it on when I need to access the net... so erm... all the time Seriously though I use it a lot and it lasts me 24hrs easy. I have a charger at work and at home so it's really not an issue at all.

Yes, I noticed that when I had a look last night. Oh well, it's not the end of the world.

I put 3.0 on mine yesterday, it'll be interesting to see how the battery goes over the course of today.

Ordered the 32GB 3GS yesterday - 18 months/35PM.

They've said that I will get it on Friday but I have very little faith.

Apparently mine is 'guaranteed' to be delivered on the 19th. Like you, I'm not convinced.

I asked about 5 times - each time the guy said the same.

If it isn't delivered then I will play merry hell.

I wouldn't mind if they said no, but I hate being lied to like that.
