You're not that far off a brand new 350Z at that price, and I love that car. Not driven the Cooper though of course

Its another £5k but then a Boxter is only another £12k and a Caymen only another £20. And I needed to look at on going costs, all those wil cost you to service and maintain, a Mini's servicing costs £100 for 5 years the insurance is low and the residuals are good. In 3 years you'd probably only get £15k for the 350Z thats a £10-12k loss which is a lot.
I think you'd be surprised at the mini, its almost as fast and by god it will feel a hell of a lot faster as your arse is a lot closer to the ground. I'm not saying there aren't better cars for fun eg VX220T but I'd never use one of those day to day the Mini is a compromise in terms of practicality but can still be used every day. MB |

I haven't driven the Cooper since i only learn in the Mini One and even only 4 hours in that so far but you are right about it being closer to the ground. The thing feels quite sporty, can feel the bumps on the road quite clearly, not in a bad way but in a letting you know kind of way.
I'm not sure the S has any suspension, its a bit errrrr firm MB |
