Just remember experiencing Orange customer service is akin to boiling onesself alive in a pot. Plus their coverage does seem very dubious.
Tesco is doing a few iPhone deals I think if you want to pay more up front and less going forward or only lock yourself into a 12 month contract. |

Ok, here's a question - would you buy an iPhone right now?
Want to get one but concerned about signing up to an 18/24 month contract when there'll no doubt be a shiny new iPhone model out in around 6 months time. If I were to buy one now, is it mine to sell at any point? In other words, could I sell it in June and put the money towards the new model on PAYG, then just transfer my SIM? Part of me says wait another six months as I've waited this long already, whilst another part of me says stop bloody procrastinating and do it!

That's exactly what I did, I bought in November last year and when the new model came out, I sold tmy 3G, bought a new 3GS on PAYG and moved my SIM into it.

yeah, i wouldn't sign up to a contract this far between versions. I got mine in July simply because its almost in line with the release schedule.
However, if it were just the question of 'would you buy an iphone' regardless of when a new model came out - i still can't believe how bloody fantastic these things are. (even after i slagged them off for the first two versions!) |

If you get an 18 months contract now, it'll take you right up to the version after next. There generally aren't too many fantastic changes from one version to the next, but if you skip a generation you'll be more likely to notice the differences in 18 months when you can upgrade to the 5G or whatever it'll be by then.

Yeah I was thinking that - aim to upgrade to the one after next in June 2011 and only upgrade this June if the new one is utterly amazing and I need it in my life
