I succumbed and re-bought Fallout 3. It's very rare that I rebuy a game

However it worked out quite well for me. I sold my copy for £20 and bought a pristine CE copy for £20

The bobblehead can go to my slowly growing collection of random models.

And thanks to the sale of Shellshock 2 I can buy the DLC too \o/

Currently Live 4 Dead - but not for long.

Have I missed something with this? I cannot see why it's got such good reviews? It's a mixture of Serious Sam and Doom 3.

On my own.

If the appeal is pure playing co-op, they it'll be uninstalled later and I'll go back to playing HAWX, which although basic, is quite good fun.

Then you've answered your own question

You're missing out on the co-op which makes the game infinitely more enjoyable.
It'd be like complaining that Counterstrike or Team Fortress is crap when you've only ever played it against bots.

If you don't like games like that though and you don't want to play L4D co-op, you're not going to like it, simple as that.
