Motorists. Ignorant, careless gits to the last. They've made me need paramedics so my love is long gone.

People who use terms like 'son' to try and be condescending when they're about 27 years old. Just makes you look like a prick frankly.

May not be irrational this one.

Anti-piracy adverts on DVD's - that you can't skip!
Ok, I've bought the bloody dvd - no need to rant at me about this. If I had downloaded it I'd either be able to skip the advert, or more likely it wouldn't be on there at all, thus negating the reason for it existing.

Once again, the only people who this p!$$£s off are the people who have bought the original in the first place!

this, but when people say 'love, sweetheart, darling', any of those things to be patronising. I don't mind anyone using endearments if they mean them as such, but condescension just makes the person doing it look insecure, and as you rightly say, like a prick!

Oh and another - when people end an argument they have no validity in by saying that if you haven't experienced something personally then you have no right to comment because you're not qualified to do so. I'm still allowed an opinion, regardless of whether you like or agree with it or not and you are just as likely to be blinkered by your experience as I am not to be for lack of experiencing it. (not sure if that makes sense now ) Same bugs me when people argue with the syntax rather than the context. Some people are just crap at putting things into words, it doesn't make them or their arguments any less valid, just makes it seem that way. I've seen some really intelligent people make themselves look like patronising idiots because they ignore valid points by purposefully misunderstanding them, rather than taking on board what has been said and answering appropriately. If your argument doesn't stand up to questioning, then you're probably wrong.

I was sure I posted this already but couldn't see it in the thread...

Guys who walk along with their arm entirely draped around a girl's neck. I get it. She's your girlfriend. You've made this abundantly clear. Now stop choking the poor cow.

It's not irrational for the reasons you set out there. I usually try to go make myself a cup of tea or a snack while I'm waiting for the ad to finish except there's always the odd div who has set the DVD up so that it waits for user input before progressing and then it starts on film trailers so I've got to keep coming back to it and find myself getting slowly more irritated and inevitably it leads to the stage of me ranting at the TV "I've already bought the sodding thing, I don't need a lecture on morality you bunch of sanctimonious pillocks". I'm well aware this does absolutely nothing but it makes me feel slightly better for a few seconds and that's good enough.

And DRM or whatever it's called in similar fashion - I can't start my fully legally bought and paid for RA3 without a net connection so it can validate itself, argh.
