I'll have a proper look in a bit, but at a glance it seems like a good plan. However, do NOT drop your mileage back to 6. Stay with 12 and then just keep it level until your plan increases. It'll get you fitter and give you more miles in your legs

So, either way you are doing 12 miles today!!!

Er... or not Busy day so I've already been out in the torrential rain. I did do a fast 6 miles though. Shaved a good 4 mins off my time for that. Hopefully that's not too much of a disaster...

I'm not actually sure where I got that from. The plan online says do an easy 7-8 miles. Oh well.

Good time that Mondo. I really need to get out running on the road as I think the treadmill is holding me back. Once I've stopped doing two hours of cardio a day I can start running again

Not so much a plan but some advice from someone who goes from couch to 10k about three times a year

Make sure you run in some proper shoes - I have seen a suprising amount of people pounding pavements in Converse All Stars.

Learn to understand your body - recognise the differences between 'difficult' and 'overdoing it'; failing to listen to your body will almost certain lead to injury which can be devastating when not into a training lifestyle.

Understand that progress can be slow, and that you may well have outings that will be awful from step 1 - try not to be put off by bad days; this can be difficult when you're not in the mood to go out and previous runs haven't been fun or rewarding.

Keep a log of all your activities - runkeeper, mapmyrun or just a list will do; it is inspiring and motivating to add up your total weekly/monthly/annual miles!

Post on here about it for extra support and motivation!

Good luck Kitten! I look forward to reading your progress

If your looking for something with music to help you along the Podrunner Intervals are great (for me anyway) they do a 9 week C25K kinda thing called first day to 5k, then a 10 week gateway to 8k followed by a 10 week freeway to 10k

Best bit = free!
