Think of the Guitar as investment in future games, at least GH3 and Rock Band.

Random Soul Calibur 4 note:

Quote:
Cali 4 takes rendering the smaller details, a little too far; Ivy’s leather straps make real-time indentations into her skin as she moves, an Taki’s nipples will be rendered under her leotard. If you’re into that sorta thing, then put down Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 and get ready for Soul Calibur IV.
Blimeh!

That's what I'm thinking, and when friends are over it's bound to be fun, hell even my female friends that hate games will probably like it

I sense lots of men working on Soul Calibur IV Wonder if the male characters have nipples too?

Right, so if I'm getting a replacement telly as in this thread, what output cable should I be getting for the best picture? I'm leaning towards the 32" which is the higher resolution of the two (thanks Daz!).

This or this, depending on what input you want to use (component or VGA). Shop around of course, and remember there are third party alternatives if you're willing to give them a punt

Varies between people and panels really. On my current 360 and 23" HDTV, I've used the first party component and (currently) third party VGA - and there's nothing in it really. Colours were slightly washed out over VGA, but they fixed that in the latest dash with a couple of extra options in the display settings.

I moved to VGA to free up component for the Wii, and I imagine most people are driven by their other devices rather than any actual quality issues.

[edit] If it matters to you, the 360 will only upscale DVD's over VGA or HDMI, but we don't have the latter option in this country yet.

That's a good point, component will be best for the Wii so it makes sense to use VGA for the 360. My DVD player will do component but it's a bit fiddely so that can stay on s-video

*sorry* just thinking aloud!

Your 360 will up scale the DVD's anyway You'll lose multi-region capability of course, if that's a problem for you.

Furry muff I do, one less box under the TV. Though to be fair these days I stream most of my stuff to it over the network.
