Saw Band of Skulls the other night. OMFG they ruled. Easily the best live band I've seen since I last saw Metallica. And I've been to reading and glastonbury and a few other gigs since then.
Already got a few of there songs and will be getting the album. I can't believe how good they are. Entire album is on spotify if you want a listen. Quite a variety of songs as well.

I'm going to see KISS tomorrow night at the Islington Academy...
Seriously, KISS are playing the 800 capacity venue tomorrow night, and I have tickets.

Friday Night I saw Lady Gaga at the O2.
We missed all of the supports - one of which was Alphabeat, but wasn't too bothered about that. She is an amazing singer live. Charismatic and genuinely grateful to be where she is. I was totally expecting her concert to be 'weird' - but not as controversial as it was. She had images flashing up on the screens in between songs - v s&m, gimp masks, lots of blood and one of her eating a heart :/ Made me wonder why you would get tickets for your 8yr old looking son, who spent most of the concert with his fingers in his ears apart from when Bad Romance came on. :/ I wouldn't take my child to it - knowing fully well what she is like! Amazing costumes... some a bit strange, my favourite was the white Monster costume which moved around - it was beautiful She was half an hour late... to think she supported the Pussycat Dolls this time last year - she's done extremely well! I was actually at the PCD concert and remember watching her - her performance then made me buy her album. Really good, but not as amazing/innovative as I thought it would be. BB x |

I saw them supporting Maximo Park at the Brixton Academy a few years ago and thought they were absolutely fantastic. By far the most enjoyable of the 3 different support acts I saw over the 2 Maximo Park gigs.
I just noticed they have a new album out so I'll be picking up a copy of that. |
