Tempted to grab one of those HP versions to dual boot on my MacBook, but I dunno if I'd actually use it, might be worth it just for the odd game.

It's good. My online banking requires IE and work uses a SharePoint template that doesn't work very well with Firefox, so I've configured IETab to take over automatically whenever I go to those places.
Anyway, I think 5 licenses is enough for me, so I'm done. It's possible I won't need one or even two of them. I can cancel or sell nearer the time. |

Still umming. I'll probably order a few pro's. You can guarantee that it will be near Vista pricing at retail. Is there going to be no pre-order of Ultimate?

Three of each I believe. I've got two Pro and three HP, so it's all good.

Normal RRP is £149 for HP and £220 for Pro, no pre order offer for any other SKUs

Best to go for E or N? I know none of them have IE8, and that N doesn't have windows media player...
But what else is there to know?

Just that it's full retail and because it's in Europe, you can't do an upgrade, it needs to be a full format install.
As for the differences, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows...mparison_chart is a good chart outlining the main differences.
