With a lot of experimental use of Ubuntu, GParted, Dell System Restore and Vista Recovery I finally managed to get the system partitioned the way I want it. Would have been far quicker to reinstall the damn thing but I decided for some unknown reason I wanted to retain the Dell branding.

I've been laughing at some of the rather dodgy sites hosted on one of our platforms that one of the guys here stumbled across. I suspect If I post them it might jeopardise some folks access to this thread
