20 would be a good one, though Edge have always used 10 and have given out that perfect 10/10 around 8 times in their history (sadly though they gave it to Halo 3 and Half-Life 2, neither of which are 10's).

I quite like EGM's school rating system (A+/B-/D+ etc..) as it's a change. Alternately, I was always a massive fan of CVG's old school 'High-Five' system.

Edge are pretty good with their scoring most of the time. They seem to appreciate that 5/10 isn't a crap game, it's an average game. While far too many other places and people see 7/10 as average and anything lower than that as crap.
I don't think I've ever played a game that deserves 10/10 though, to me that would be suggesting it couldn't be faulted which imo doesn't exist.

10 out of 10 only means 'approaching perfect' when you break itdown into percentages when you discount that 0/10 isn't possible.

I'm assuming you mean if a game got 95-99% it would get 10/10 because it's rounded up?
It still doesn't sit comfortably with me, and believe me, I've had enough arguments over the point of a scoring system in the past I'm extremely glad that my latest reviewing spot doesn't require scores. Nothing more annoying than getting a comment about how the score was wrong and how it should have been a whole 4% more Try reading the review instead of staring at the score ffs!

w00t! 'spatched!*

*This is the abbreviated term I just came up with for 'dispatched'. I recognise the irony that I'm having to explain it.

Mine has been dispatched as well, but it's going to work and I've been signed off for a week with my back (it's gone again). I'll have to either see if Lynnie can nip in and get it for me, or ask one of the guys in work to bring it around for me.
