Just checking, do I need Xbox Live Gold to go on the scoretables and stuff or is Silver enough? Is Gold just for online multiplayer gaming? For some reason haven't really looked much into xbox live, mainly because when I tried it out with the free month when I got it first, I encountered quite a lot of lag that put me off - specially compared to PC gaming.

Silver will be fine dude Gold lets you play online and get some marketplace content a couple of weeks early (usually demos).

Oh what the. Guitar Hero 3 to feature wireless guitar. They're also going to do a GH game every year. It seems odd to me because they'll have both XBLive and the PS3 thing to deliver content to. Surely they should publish the content this way. They also say they think the 400 points per song pack is fine. Nuts.

Give it time dude. I never thought I'd be able to beat medium, now after tons of practise they don't trouble me. Use the practise area if you're really getting stuck

Made it through. Sore hand now, but I got to freebird. I loved the questions. Played a few of the easier tracks to get them up to 5 star. Had a quick go on hard, omg! Awesome way to end the day. Had lots of good news today, rocked the night out \o/

I've done the two songs I hate with a passion on expert, so freebird is only an hour or so away

Those songs being Laid to Rest and Psychobilly Freakout. Institutionalized is fighting for 2nd place, though, but at least it's kind of listenable.

I've been plugging away the last few nights. Slowly working on 5*ing medium. Took me a while to do Sweet Child O' Mine but I've noticed a definite improvement in my playing since. I seem to have started flitting from song to song though rather than concentrating on one song til it's done. Got 4* on Hangar 18 and Free Bird last night though

Also had a quick try on Hard last night and failed dismally. The notes just seem to come at you so much quicker. I can see how the lower levels will seem easy once I get used to playing at that speed though.
