Thoughts so far?

I thought it was good but nothing special until i reached the second island, then the storyline started to deepen and set pieces became much more impressive. The dustmen are quite good at building stuff it seems (you'll see what i mean). If it keeps up the pace its set on the second island this'll be one of if not the best single player game on the PS3.

Finally getting back into Lost Odyssey. Was getting annoyed with the area I was at so left it for a few months. Just blitzed it and am now really into the swing of it again. Maybe i'll finish it soon.....maybe

Very good fun actually - a lot better for having more story info rather than random people yakking at you

Dead drops are cool and I love how the shards show up when you click L3

Just got to island 3... it actually gets better! The final super power is just insanely powerful, you actually feel like a walking god if you combine it with Karmic Overload (which gives you infinite energy in exchange for some of your good/bad karma).

Don't worry too much about your karma. It 'accelerates' its growth according to how many good/evil side missions you've done. Now i can nuke half the city by accident and lose loads of good karma but build it back up again very quickly as i've done all 15 good missions. I quite like the idea, it's like you've built up a reputation so people are quick to forgive you if you see what i mean. It's really easy to max out your karma by the end of the game if you've done all of the karma aligned side missions which is useful as Karmic Overload requires maximum karma to activate.

And yes, i can literally nuke half a city now Thunder drop is a mere childs attack compared to my might.

Double post (sorry!)

Just finished InFAMOUS as a hero and frankly i was quite shocked by the ending. Really did not see that coming, a really great plot twist that has me very much anticipating the sequel.

All in all i'd rate it the second best single player game on the PS3 behind Valkyria Chronicles. It's close but i'm a sucker for JRPGs so it just about takes the crown. Anyone who owns a PS3 should play infamous. Ride the lightning Cole!

I see

Been playing a total of 6 hours now and still haven't finished the 1st island! Doing lots of side missions though and generally looning around

Can't wait to progress further
