How are people keeping track of what they have watched? is there an easy website that you can do this on? or just an excel file?
If you sign up to IMDb you can add movies to your collection, create your own collection called "IMDb top 250" and then make it public, post the link here and I'll put it in the OP. You can also review it out of 10 on there and it will show.

Or alternately, put it on a blog somewhere and check them off that way. I do both, which can be seen in the OP.

Just watched Once Upon A Time in America this afternoon, first time in about 5 years I've seen it and it's still unbelievably good. For me it surpasses The Godfather and then some.

**Top250 on TV**

Glory (218)
Tonight FiveUS 9.00-11.20

One of Edward Zwick's (Last Samurai, Blood Diamond) earliest and most effective films. The story of a black regiment fighting in the US civil war. Yes, there are some unavoidable cliches but the direction and cinematography are everything you'd expect from Zwick film and the cast's not bad either. (Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Cary Elwes, Andre Braugher)

Forrest Gump
(45)
Tonight Film4 (9.00-11.40)

My Momma always said shamelessly preying on peoples sympathies using a mentally retarded hero is a surefire way to win an Oscar. Smart woman, my Mum.

Just watched fight club, for the first time in years. Thought it was amazing when it came out. But decidedly average although still good now.

Yep, it's one of those films where the first time impact is much stronger than repeated viewings offer. Some films are better after multiple watches, some are detracted from, sadly Fight Club is the latter, however still a very, very good movie none-the-less purely on the backs of Norton and Pitt (although I don't think it's the best performance from either, American History X and Twelve Monkeys for me respectively).

here's johnny!!!!!

Awesome film, but again something I could not rewatch for the next few years..

why is it brilliant films you generally need time between re-watching. Where average films I can enjoy several times a year.
