Oooh Civ 4 can take over your life quite easily
I'm playing through Meet The Robinsons, i'm not overly keen on it but it's drawn me in, I'm writing a review on it and I've had it on rental for about 3 weeks now so I feel like I should give it a chance. After that I'm strongly considering playing FF7, 8, 9 and 12 one after the other

I've been playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance since last weekend on the PC. Completed once and part way through a second run at harder level.
Thing is, this game is ridiculously unbalanced when it comes to Johnny Storm. I completed the last game playing him 99% of the time (managed to kill him twice through stupidity). All I really had to do was walk into the room and hit "2" repeatedly until every enemy was dead. I was killing them in split-seconds. No other character seems to have a power with that level of damage. Combine it with a maxed out flame damage bonus on his modern uniform and I was 10 hitting Boss mobs with him. No one else even got a look in. Its a ranged attack so no one got close enough to hit me, and its energy needs were small enough that when I'd killed a couple of mobs the energy bonus they gave me was enough to cover the deficit. The only time I didn't have to use that was when I was deliberately building up momentum on all my team. I can't believe such a ridiculously powerful ability made it into the final game! I'm now playing it through again without using Johnny as my primary character (he's on the team 'cause his melee with fire damage is reasonable) Good game, the CGI cut-scenes are really well done and voice acted, the general controls are fairly well realised, though frustrating at times. Gets a general thumbs up, just don't use Johnny unless you're out for an easy ride!

If you want an easy run through then use Silver Surfer His ranges attacks are very powerful (though a few people have slightly better ones), his area effect lightning attack is powerful and has good knockback (so great if you get surrounded), and he has the added bonus of being able to heal everyone on the team for mucho health, all without ever really denting his energy levels. Even on Hard he coasts through

You have to get at least bronze on every training mission, so you'd know if you'd got him as you'd probably go for it intentionally

Aye, it includes the downloadable characters, who are all pretty cool (Hawkeye and Dr Doom are possibly the two best).

I've been holding off on a potential purchase until later in the summer if the gold edition was destined for British shores. Not seen it on Play so assumed we were waiting for an annoucement!
