hahaha my shotgut is the same power as yours, I can just use it like you use the sniper rifle

about the sniping I kept saying on the map outside the Fenix's house (can't remember the name) I'd kept saying "Davey's got the sniper everyone get the heads down" next thing "DaveyPitch kills jtritton"

I'm still really just starting with the shotgun, the lancer was always my weapon of choice up until recently. The lancer is still quite good for onrushing people, I think it managed to take you down a couple of times just before you took my head off with the shotgun

yeah you did take me down a couple of times with that especially on Old Bones I now tend to only use the shotgun if I can get away with it, get up close and get in there roadie running along cover is good too.

I really enjoyed last night’s game, the two new maps where fun.

But I must say, Leo is getting scarily accurate with the forward roll..blast face off move.

I think the only counter to that move is actualy try to figure out where he'll land and fire as soon as he stands up. If you get a well timed and well aimed shot you'd probably take him down before he could take your head off. Easier said that done though. I should know to just roll away when he starts getting close, I'd stand a better chance at a distance

Oh, and I definitely think we need a good long session (fnar) on this, with a minimum of 6 people who can be around for a few hours. Last night was great but I always think it's better when the sides are evenly numbered and roughly evenly skilled, you can go on for hours then without getting pissed off that you're losing all the time. The more players there are I think it also gives the newer players more time to learn as they won't die so quickly if there's more targets (and they'll likely get more kills which always breeds confidence).

So Friday or Saturday I'm pretty sure I'll be up for a long session if others are around

Could probably manage a few hours on Friday but Saturday would be better for me, don't have to get up early on Sunday and it's her turn to do breakfast in bed.

I tried the rolling away thing a few times, but rolled right into the path of little miss evil who proceded to turn me into a tea strainer.

I'm not doing bad but I still don't come close to Mr Davey "Sniper" Pitch

I think you both started rolling away after a while but I think it was Raven Down where we both ended up on opposite sides of a trunk and I managed to flank you. One round on the fuel depot was funny where you were sniping at Jen and Jay while Colin was using the shotgun and you both thought the other was dealing with me

I think it also helps with more numbers as people can provide backup and cover to the newer players so they get a feel for things without being wiped out too quickly. I think Jay was certainly improving towards the end, well apart from sticking his bloody head up too much

I'm up for Friday night if anyone else is, sadly I'll be go karting on Saturday and drinking beers but Friday is good.

That is team work for you

How was the hosting on that apart from the 2 connection problems, was there lag? That was the first time I've hosted over wireless, the other times have all been wired.

Talking is never a bad thing in Gears, if used properly you can really get an advantage over your opposition team through teamwork alone.
