I wouldn't worry too much! You don't want to be setting a PB two days before the race imho, and you'll probably knock a few seconds off that at the race itself, depending upon terrain and if you are running or swimming that is...

3 weeks now without a run for me, still not convinced what the foot is doing. At least one more I think.

^^^ Good, stay strong!

I decided to skip my Parkrun on Saturday. I had a bit too much beer which I could have coped with, but an awful nights sleep. I decided to rest up and get some calories in instead. Today I am not starving hungry, which I think is a direct result of letting everything catch up a bit.

Pbed 55m 42secs

It was like a monsoon!!! After the 6km marker I couldn't see - literally!

The organisation hasn't changed since 2009 - shocking and the goody bag was pointless.

At least I got another medal

Well done BBx, especially under those conditions! Which one was it, sounds worth avoiding!

Personally I missed aqua again tonight as still at work (on for 14h shortly), hoping to try a short few miles this weekend, and maybe Wednesday aqua.

I was slave driven into a 7 mile run home from Truro today. Most hill work Ive ever done and in the last 18+ months my runs have been 3 mile max. Im chuffed but shattered! Tool an hour and 15 mins. Certainly not my best time for such a run, but given the terrain I reckon it was my hardest outing ever!

Is anyone else on runkeeper? I could do with some more street mates for motivation!

I'm on week 5 of Couch to 5K, but have kinda given up with it as I've just done this

Pretty chuffed as I totally unfit 5 weeks ago and was knackered after the 1 minute splits

I don't use anything like that. The only timed stuff I do is Parkrun, mainly because I've got a memory like a sieve and I can never remember what time I left and I never remember to start a stopwatch

I don't I'm afraid, use my garmin then log in an excel sheet. But that's not a bad time for 5k; 5k is 3.125 miles and when I started I was doing 10min miles (after a few months of walk/run!), anything under 30 mins for 5k is pretty good for a beginner.

Those of you with Garmin's might want to check it out as Runkeeper is compatible with them. It's a little bit of extra motivation when you've got friends on there, especially when combined with Fitocracy.
