Ok, because I cba trawling through the arguements about iPhones and tariffs in this thread Who can summarise the below points for me please:

I want an iPhone NOW Tmobile don't do them, so where can I get one from.

I use my phone for: texting my friends, phoning in emergencies, and faffing with. have found tariffs for about £30 p/m which is ok. Is that about ok for what I'm going to use it for?

How does this internet thing work? Just been through the O2 site and do I have to have a 'bolt on' for the internet to work? Or can I just crack on with the net as soon as I have the phone?

ta

It should be fine assuming that the tariff has enough minutes and texts for you.

All iPhone tariffs come with the 'unlimited' internet bolt on so you can fire up the phone and surf away.

I think O2 have a FUP and Orange limit you to 500mb?

Not that I use anywhere that much (on BB), but some people seem to rack up huge iPhone usage. Depends what you need/use it for I guess.

I've seen it yeah, itsw great but its not ready for prime time, nice to see they're looking ahead though. N900 is definitely not the hardware i want either. So on both counts it doens't do anything for me! But i can see its huge potential. Symbian is going through a HUGE change though as well with series 4 hopefully coming out this year or next and it should totally redesign the UI to be something sensible and extensible which would also give it a much needed hand in the growing smartphone market.

Still for me android is where its at, if google can (and they seem to be) really inspire and push dev's then it easily has the capability to be amazing. Think about it, even the very first adopters of the G1 get absolutely everything the new kids on the block get software wise as long as their hardware (processor) can keep up with it. And if things aren't initially available the mod community comes out in form and provides everything you'll need! It's like jailbreaking but better in my eyes

Hence why I said 'unlimited'

Though I don't remember what the figures are for the FUP.

I've been trying to get my iPhone to play an MP3 for my ringtone. It's the one I've had for Leon for EVER. I've just read that the iPhone won't let you create a ringtone from an MP3 unless it's been bought from iTunes. WTF???? That's absolutely ridiculous!!!!

That is a bit poo. There's a workaround that I've used a couple of times here.
