Well I've just got the code for the beta so will be downloading as soon as I get home.

With regards to the achievements, I'm glad they are all for SP, I like playing online but I can never be bothered with achievements for it. Oh and if I can't complete in on Veteran, I'll get my dad to do it. He's completed COD, COD:UO and COD2 for the pc on veteran a few times now

Stuff it, you've got me. The second I get enough money in the bank to see me through I will buy one. It might be a problem that I don't have a widescreen 19" TFT, all I have is a Viewsonic VP930 - which while it is quite possibly the best screen I've ever used on a PC, I don't know if it will cut the mustard for a 360...

On a side note, how much is a premium console worth these days?

If you're buying new you may as well get an Elite, they're around £300 new but with a bigger HDD and HDMI output you'll be future-proofing yourself better I reckon

What use would the bigger HDD have? I was told you can't load games onto a hard drive for easier use which was a huge downer for me, so what does that leave the HDD space for?

From what I could see on my system you don't store XP, you just stay at 1 below rank 17

I used a regular 17" TFT before getting the WS TFT and it was fine Can't remember what model number but a Viewsonic one that was a couple of years old, still looked way better than my TV ever did.

Re CoD4: If veteran on it is anything like it is on CoD2, it will be rock solid! But immensely satisfying

Rock solid games are fine as long as they're not cheap. It's why I loved Ninja Gaiden, it was hard as hell but I knew everything was do-able as long as I got better. Hopefully CoD4 will be the same, it's a game I'd love to 1000

I must be missing something about COD4. The way you guys feel about Halo 3 I seem to be about COD4. I had a play of the beta and it seemed alright, but another random current day fps. What am I missing? This isn't fanboy Halo vs COD I'd just like to know cos I haven't read anything about COD4 and I know you guys don't pick bad games.
