£1.40 booking fee means I'm loathed to book unless I know it's a popular film and will be busy. That said, I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema and there was a queue.

You're pretty lucky. Around here there is always a queue; we never bother on a Wednesday any more as well.

Never missed out on a film because it's sold out though (and I've been going most Wednesdays for quite a long while now) but I guess I'm able to go earlier in the day which must help.

It was a last minute thing, and we thought that as it had been out a couple of weeks we'd be alright. I did nearly book, but most of the time I won't go and see stuff the week it comes out, so its not an issue. Plus as people say, theres the booking fee.

Anyway, it's usually fairly spontaneous when I go to the flicks - deciding earlier that day for example, and I just pop in on the way home or pop in before getting something to eat so there isn't a queue. With Inception, we just 30 mins or so before it started, queued for 5 minutes and walked in. That was the day it opened! Filled up by the time it started though. Orange Wednesday isn't that much of a problem either, just get there early, buy the tickets then head off to get some food and come back when the films due to start. Even in L1 which is heaving most of the time I've never missed a film due to numbers. My plan is good

As others have said, it was a spontaneous decision and we have never had a problem until last week.
Can't book in advance because we were going on Orange Wednesday - too expensive otherwise! Will be trying again this week. BB x |

That actually made me and a friend laugh out loud for ages when we were watching the trailer a while back. So good.

Lom and me have ben on a film blitz, yay for laptops in bed!
Pans Labyrinth. Didn't realise it was in Spanish, but after a while, neither me or Lom noticed we were reading the subtitles! Awesome animatronics from this modern, adult fairy tale. We both winced when the Capitain showed the local poachers what for. Eww, bottle! It wasn't what either of us expected (Lom hadn't heard anything about it at all) but we both enjoyed it thoroughly. 8.5/10 Franklyn Another film that flicks between fantasy and real world, but this time people in the real world appear in the fantasy world too. The end left Lom a bit wanting but I enjoyed it. 6.5/10
