John and Edward were in the bottom two and Simon Cowell who has slagged them off from day one, chose to save them this evening, meaning one of the better singers Lucie went out of the show.

To be fair....he didn't save them. He let it go to the public vote which could have gone either way.

Ah well, there'll be another week
I actually enjoy laughing at them, they really have no sense of movement or rhythm whatsoever

That's semantics - the choice of the judge is called saving, doesn't matter what the outcome would be. The point is entirely valid, Simon's a hypocrite. I don't normally like to get this involved a TV show, but it really winds me up that a sweet girl with an incredible voice is passed over for those two. Simon can say the public vote put her there, but he knows that's not how the public vote works - lots of people don't vote for someone they think is safe, no matter how much they like them.

I didn't think there was any miming, the live act being the point of it all.
I've only caught the odd bit of this, it does seem a bit odd that he put it to the vote like that, but didn't he say a few weeks ago that they're entertaining and that he'd come to actually like them? I may be well off the mark.

I dont mind the deadlock tonight...
I have really issues with the fact that it happens every week (except for when Louis was away and so only 3 judges were there). I mean, seriously, what is the point of the judges being there?? If I was in this competition, I would now be thinking "I wont bother listening to the judges - they never make a decision anyway" |
