My mobile number is great for confusing the hell out of people when I recite it to them as the second 6 digits is the same as the first 5 but with an extra '1' in there. Must admit I sometimes play on it deliberately. It usually goes along the lines of:

Other person: "What's your number"
Me: "07xxx"
/Other person Types/write down this bit
Me: 071xxx with the emphasis on the '1'
/Other person starts altering the bit they've already noted down thinking I'm correcting them.

What pisses me off is when I go to enter my parents' phone number on automated web forms and it rejects it as an invalid number. It's a five-digit code followed by a five-digit number - didn't think that combo was all that rare.
