720p plasma will most likely be 1024x768 with rectangular pixels (LCD being 1366x768 with square pixels)

The *cough* 'HDReady' Plasma's are 1024x768 - which is great for a PC display apart from the rectangular pixels but at least it's a real resolution. 1366x768 is just a pain in the arse.

The parents' Plasma is 1024x1024, but it's absolutely sensational for colours with HD content.
I would always go plasma. |

Okay, so the cheapest I can find the PZ80 for with 5 year warranty is at richersounds for £802
Between the 2nd and 15th of feb CostCo have the 46" PZ80 screen for £770inc VAT with 5 year warranty. I think I'm gonna bottle it and get a cheaper screen that's more suitable for me at the moment. bah!

I'd rather pay the extra £32 quid for getting it at a shop with a good reputation for CS over an online retailer, if it was the cost alone. Up to you about the suitability of the screen though

Costco isn't an online retailer.
And sorry, the price at Richersounds is for the 42" model. 42" = £802 w/ 5 year warranty 46" = £770 w/ 5 year warranty.
