Ok I have a blonde question, um how did they take the pictures from the middle of the road when there are cars and lorries in the road in some of the pics. Do they send a person out to take all the pics, or is it done via a clever satelite. (like if I walk down my road, theres a renault megane, and a tesco home delivery van)

It's done with a camera on top of a car driving around, which is able to take pictures from various angles at once. (Like this one)
